Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to lead architecture and mentor engineers as we scale our platform. You will own critical services, define API design standards, and partner with data-platform teams to enable secure, scalable customer experiences.

Qualifications

8+ years of backend development experience.
Experience shipping external or public product APIs.
Ability to design service boundaries and scale systems.
Experience with React frontend.
Strong written design communication and mentorship.
Willingness to apply AI to improve efficiency and impact.

Responsibilities

Own architecture and rollout strategy for critical platform services.
Set the technical bar for APIs, including security and developer experience.
Stitch services across Vanta's platform to serve customer use cases.
Drive RFCs and decision records for durable architectures.
Mentor engineers and support team health and culture.
