Job summary

Vanta is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Product Platform team to build shared foundations powering product development. You will craft scalable systems, APIs, and libraries used across engineering teams, partnering with product teams to meet needs and drive architecture decisions.

You’ll help set engineering standards, contribute to code reviews, and document systems to enable engineers across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or fullstack software engineering experience with platform focus.
• Experience building APIs, services, or platform components used by multiple teams.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality, scalable systems and shared libraries used by multiple teams.
• Partner with product engineering to translate needs into well-documented APIs and services.
• Drive technical decisions and scale architectures across teams.
• Define and uphold engineering standards for shared components with performance and security in mind.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning.
• Write and maintain thorough documentation for the systems and libraries.
