Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own full-stack DX across .NET, React/Next.js, and Azure. You will write and review code, set standards, architect new features, and mentor engineers while partnering with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

You will lead AI integration, ensure security and performance, and drive observability, DevOps collaboration, and scalable architectures in a fast-paced legal technology environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/SE or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience with progression to lead roles.
• Strong full-stack development with .NET (C#), React, Next.js, and REST/GraphQL API design.
• Ability to architect and deliver production-grade applications with reliability, performance, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services used in development and deployment.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB).
• Experience leading engineers, including setting direction, reviews, and mentoring.
• Clear communication with technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and delivery of full-stack apps using .NET, React/Next.js, and Azure from architecture through production support.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, performance, and security; enforce via code reviews.
• Make architectural decisions for new features and systems with scalability and observability in mind.
• Incorporate AI/GenAI features and manage LLM, RAG pipelines, semantic search, and agentic workflows.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and ongoing feedback.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and architects to translate requirements into technical plans and milestones.
• Ensure production reliability by defining observability standards and guiding incident response.
• Apply security best practices across the stack, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
