Job summary
JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City seeks a Lead Software Engineer to build a data platform for Capital, Liquidity, Balance sheet, Funding and billing, driving end-to-end development across UI (React/TypeScript) and Python services.
You will collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Trading, and Quant teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will lead AI-assisted engineering, promote secure coding, and mentor a global team in a fast-paced environment, shaping critical banking software
Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with agentic development (ADLC).
- Engineering leadership, architecture and stakeholder management.
- Database design on Databricks and Snowflake.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-stack development of UI dashboard and Python services.
- Deliver data pipelines and ETL on Databricks and Snowflake.
- Oversee use of LLMs and AI-assisted development.
- Guide team in AI-assisted coding, testing, and review practices.
- Ensure determinism, reproducibility, and security in AI systems.
- Drive enterprise AI adoption and best practices across the team.
