Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Lead Software Engineer to build an end-to-end data platform supporting Capital, Liquidity, Balance sheet, Funding, and billing. You will lead full-stack development (React/TypeScript + Python) and data pipelines on Databricks and Snowflake, while advancing AI-assisted engineering practices.

You will mentor teams, manage stakeholders, and apply secure, compliant development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with enterprise-scale impact.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with ADLC.
• Experience leading engineering teams and stakeholder management.
• Database design and modeling on modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Experience with risk and PnL in Markets and CI/CD principles.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development of UI dashboards (React/TS) and Python services.
• Deliver data pipelines and ETL on Databricks and Snowflake.
• Lead software solutions design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Apply LLMs as part of the engineering lifecycle with controlled validation.
• Drive enterprise-wide AI-assisted engineering practices and code quality.
• Ensure secure coding, testing, and documentation across the team.
