Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Demonstrated full stack engineering capability (frontend + backend) and ability to deliver independently across the SDLC.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building microservices and automation frameworks; working knowledge of JavaScript for tooling/UI/integrations and strong React experience building production-grade web applications.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes and with API gateways, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with expectations for validating AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security.
• Experience with Apache Airflow (DAG authoring) and distributed SQL systems like CockroachDB; knowledge of observability tools.
• Proven ability to support observability and operations using Splunk and Grafana.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and application security; demonstrated technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting across multiple areas.
• Owns end-to-end full stack delivery across Frontend (React/TypeScript), Backend (Python), Data/Workflow (Airflow) and Database (CockroachDB).
• Designs scalable services and experiences for large-scale apps; drives architecture decisions for performance and reliability.
• Builds and maintains cloud-native deployments on Kubernetes with health checks and rollout strategies.
• Drives monitoring and performance tuning with Splunk and Grafana; leads root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Promotes enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards across the team.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and value realization.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for stability across systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams for architectural designs and applicability.
