Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer (Edifecs) to support Veterans Affairs in a remote role. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, build automated tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

The position requires 10+ years of experience, EDIFECS familiarity, and strong knowledge of EDI X12 workflows. COTS experience and security clearance (Public Trust) are preferred, with a W-2 remote arrangement

Qualifications

Experience with complex software projects and delivering quality deliverables.
Proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and testing in AWS/Azure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and end-user requirements.
Create test schedules and approaches.
Write test cases/scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Dev Leads.
Lead tests of software/IT systems to ensure proper operation and defect-free delivery.
Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
Create daily test metrics and reporting; assist in ongoing improvements of procedures.
