Job summary

Citi, a global financial services leader, is seeking a Vice President to lead and mentor a high‑performing full‑stack engineering team. You will drive architecture for scalable applications using Java/Spring Boot, and build responsive UIs with React or Angular.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis with a proven leadership track record.
• Deep expertise in building full‑stack solutions with strong backend and frontend capabilities.
• Expert‑level Java and Spring Boot proficiency.
• Strong experience designing APIs using RESTful services and GraphQL.
• Hands‑on experience with React or Angular.
• Proven experience with Apache Kafka for real‑time data pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Deep subject‑matter expertise in at least one core area of application development.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of complex, scalable full‑stack apps; mentor developers and analysts; allocate work and provide technical guidance.
• Hands‑on development across stack: Java for backend, React/Angular for UI, REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Ensure designs align with enterprise architecture; set and enforce coding, testing, debugging, and deployment standards.
• Design and implement real‑time data processing using Apache Kafka and related streaming tech.
• Champion Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration; build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with management to translate business goals into robust technical solutions.
• Identify and resolve high‑impact process and system issues; drive innovative solutions.
• Assess risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold ethical standards.
