Job summary
Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to own the NBA platform's orchestration and state machine, translating decisions into activated actions across member engagement channels.
Built in Node.js/TypeScript on Temporal, the system ensures durable workflow execution, long‑running member journeys, and reliable action delivery at enterprise scale. You will code alongside a small team, mentor engineers, and drive design decisions for idempotency, outbox patterns, and integration with Adobe
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
- 6+ years of full stack software engineering; 1–2 years in tech lead roles.
- Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend experience with production services.
- Experience with workflow orchestration; Temporal preferred.
- Experience with Kafka and Transactional Outbox patterns.
- Able to lead a small pod and own technical outcomes.
- Cloud native systems experience on Azure with Kubernetes + CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end delivery for the orchestration pod including planning and shipping.
- Design durable, long‑running Temporal workflows modeling the action lifecycle.
- Own the action delivery pipeline from decision to activation and receipt.
- Contribute code alongside the team; lead architecture decisions and observability.
- Coordinate with decisioning, activation, and platform teams; manage risks.
