Remote/Hybrid—preferably Boston, MA, with travel as needed to Humana offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area.
• 6+ years of full‑stack software engineering with 1–2 years in a tech‑lead role.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend experience.
• Hands‑on with workflow orchestration platforms (Temporal preferred).
• Strong distributed systems, event‑driven architectures, retries, and idempotency.
• Experience designing Kafka producer/consumer patterns.
• Experience with Transactional Outbox and reliable event delivery.
• Proven ability to lead a small pod and communicate architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end orchestration for the NBA platform and state machine.
• Design and build durable workflows on Temporal in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Lead delivery pipeline including activation, delivery, and receipt processing.
• Contribute code while mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards.
• Coordinate interfaces with decisioning, libraries, and activation systems.
