As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will design and develop core platform services for secure, scalable satellite ground communications. You will work across frontend and backend, implement APIs, authentication, and microservices, and collaborate with MBSE, Test, and engineering teams to ensure compliant, reliable system

Qualifications

• Degree/experience requirements per job posting: 8+ years with a related degree (or 6+ years with Master/Doctoral)
• Secret clearance required and must be maintained
• Proficiency in Python for backend systems and APIs
• Relational databases design/optimization (SQL, triggers, functions, stored procedures)
• Authentication/authorization (RBAC/ABAC)
• Microservice development and backend architectures
• TypeScript proficiency with modern tooling
• Frontend development with Vite and modern web practices
• Git-based source control and code reviews
• Production issue investigation and structured troubleshooting
• Unit/integration testing and automated test workflows
• PKI concepts and asynchronous messaging
• PostgreSQL, OAuth2.0, JWT, Git, CI/CD, Kafka, Unix scripting
• Zero Trust security principles
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm for containerization
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP or other cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Build multitenant backend services on public cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Architect, develop, and consume APIs and backend services with emphasis on automation, security, testing, and maintainability.
• Create software system designs from business requirements and translate needs into technical specs.
• Present technical designs and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with MBSE and Test teams to align requirements, models, and implementation.
• Develop backend services using Python, including APIs and automation logic.
• Design UI and implement reusable frontend components for consistent functionality.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Develop microservices and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Investigate and resolve production issues with structured diagnostics.
• Support customer and partner integration during deployment and capability development.
• Address complex challenges in secure, scalable satellite communications infrastructure.
