BetterHelp is hiring a seasoned software engineer to own features end-to-end, from development to production, while shaping best practices and scalable code. You will work across PHP, SQL, and APIs, collaborating with engineers and product teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The role emphasizes building secure, cross‑device solutions with Bootstrap, jQuery, and modern web technologies, while actively contributing to product growth and innovation at BetterHelp.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in web development
• 3+ years of experience in SQL
• Experience using git in a team environment
• Ability to design, develop and launch a web application from start to finish
• Deep understanding of web development concepts and principles

Mansioni

• Own features end-to-end from development to production
• Write clean, secure, readable, scalable code
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members
• Integrate and build for external and internal APIs
• Develop new PHP products and adapt existing PHP code for scale
• Write and optimize SQL queries and design schemas
• Create and code complex backend algorithms
• Profile and optimize legacy code
• Use CSS and JavaScript to enable new product functionality
• Leverage Bootstrap 3, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 in development
