Job summary

BetterHelp, the world’s largest online therapy service, is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a diverse team delivering scalable web applications for millions of users. You will own features end-to-end, write secure code, and collaborate across disciplines, while embracing AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality.

You will work with PHP/Laravel on the backend and React/Next.js on the frontend, helping modernize the platform and ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional web development experience in any stack, solving challenging problems and implementing new features from scratch.
• Three or more years of experience with SQL, including relational schema design and complex queries.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop end to end features from design to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Write clean, secure, readable, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and other partners.
• Design, integrate, and build internal and external APIs.
• Develop new products and features while modernizing existing systems.
• Profile, troubleshoot, and optimize code and databases.
• Build cross-device experiences for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering practices.
• Ship features in an agile environment with continuous deployment.
