Job summary

ZayZoon is hiring a Senior Developer to own features end-to-end—from backend architecture to frontend delivery, testing, and demos. You’ll ship production-ready code, tackle scale challenges, and integrate diverse services in a fully remote environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Care, and Finance to scope new work, ensure reliability, and mentor teammates while leveraging AI to streamline processes. Compensation range reflects seniority and North American markets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails production applications.
• Strong front-end fundamentals and React or React Native experience.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: SOLID, domain-driven design, testing.
• Full-stack ownership from backend to frontend and testing.
• Experience with scale and concurrency challenges.
• Agile fluency in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core web and mobile application features from back end to front end, owning delivery at every step.
• Tackle complex engineering problems—scale, concurrency, data ingestion—and back solutions with data.
• Integrate and maintain third-party tools and services for reliability and connectivity.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Care, and Finance to scope features and resolve issues.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Use AI to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a secure, well-structured SDLC with maintainable, tested code.
