Job summary

Curai is hiring a remote Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our full-time team. Work locations include USA, UK, and Canada, with a focus on React front-end and Python back-end development, leveraging AWS, Docker, Terraform, and RESTful services.

You'll collaborate with ML researchers, physicians, PMs, and UX researchers to drive high-impact projects and define system architecture, APIs, and design systems across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer delivering features end-to-end.
• Strong React experience: components, hooks, state management, performance.
• Backend with Python, preferably FastAPI/Starlette, async frameworks.
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases; DynamoDB vs Postgres, data modeling.
• Comfort with asynchronous workflows, background jobs, retries and eventual consistency.
• Testing focus: end-to-end, visual regression, and CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, RESTful services, Git; ML/AI tech a plus.
• Cross-platform experience: React Native/Expo or mobile, design systems, accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the stack to drive high-leverage projects from concept to completion.
• Lead API or system design discussions and cloud infrastructure improvements.
• Work with a diverse team including ML researchers, physicians, PMs, and UX researchers.
• Develop and update user-facing features across the app.
• Ensure consistent APIs and frontend-end interactions with backend services.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and produce technical specs and docs.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in Agile planning.
