Job summary

Aequilibrium is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a 6-month remote contract, based in Canada. You will work across frontend and backend services, building REST APIs, cloud-native components, and event-driven workloads.

The role demands independent work within an Agile delivery team and strong collaboration with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with TypeScript, React, Python, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

Qualifications

• Strong full stack development experience across frontend and backend.
• Proficient with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React).
• Backend experience with Python or similar server-side tech.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience in relational databases and data integration.
• Develop cloud-native applications on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and background processing.
• Strong testing practices, code reviews, and maintainable design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance frontend and backend components.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and data-driven services.
• Build and maintain cloud-native app components.
• Contribute to event-driven services and background jobs.
• Write automated unit and integration tests and ensure quality.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and container deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile team.
• Understand and contribute to existing architecture and codebase.
