Job summary

Aequilibrium is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote) based in Canada to join our technology team and support a large-scale digital initiative. You will work across frontend and backend to deliver cloud-native applications, REST APIs, and scalable services.

You will collaborate with an Agile delivery team, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, implement automated tests, and ensure high-quality software while working Pacific Time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer with hands-on frontend and backend work.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and modern frontend development (React).
• Backend experience with Python or similar server-side tech; design/integration of REST APIs.

Senior Full Stack Developer – Canada (Remote)

Aequilibrium is a technology professional services company specializing in digital transformation, product development, and innovation.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer based in Canada to join the Aequilibrium team and support a large-scale digital initiative. This role requires a versatile developer who is comfortable working across both frontend applications and backend services and can quickly become productive within an established product environment.

The successful candidate will work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with an Agile delivery team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, and enhance frontend applications and backend services.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs and database-driven services.

• Build and maintain cloud-native application components.

• Contribute to event-driven services and scheduled/background processing workloads.

• Develop automated unit and integration tests and maintain high standards of software quality.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments.

• Troubleshoot application issues and provide deployment and production support as required.

• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and other members of an Agile delivery team.

• Quickly understand and contribute to an established application architecture and codebase.

Required Experience

• Strong professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with demonstrated hands-on experience across both frontend and backend development.

• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern frontend development.

• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React.

• Backend development experience, preferably with Python or comparable server-side technologies.

• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.

• Experience with relational databases and database integrations.

• Experience developing cloud-native applications.

• Experience with cloud platforms; GCP experience is preferred, although relevant AWS or Azure experience is transferable.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.

• Experience with containerized applications and deployments, such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Experience with event-driven architectures/services.

• Experience with scheduled or background processing workloads.

• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, source control, code reviews, and maintainable application design.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and become productive quickly within an existing product environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills and experience working within Agile delivery teams.

• Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders in a professional services or consulting environment is an asset.

• Previous Canadian public-sector or government digital-services experience is an asset.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Location

• 100% remote.

• Candidates must be based in and authorized to work in Canada.

• Candidates must be available to collaborate with teams working Pacific Time hours.

Engagement

• Contract position

• Anticipated start: October 2026

• Expected engagement through approximately 6 month

• Target rate: 50-70CAD/ hour
