Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (EAA) to build and scale CX journeys across Help Center, chat, and agent tools. You will work on React/TypeScript frontends and Go services, delivering reliable features that improve automation, resolution quality, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll partner with Product, Design, and CX Ops to create self-serve and assisted-support experiences, own APIs and integrations, and guide AI/ML enhancements with strong guardrails and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering building and operating production full-stack web apps.
• Hands-on proficiency in React with TypeScript and Go backend services.
• Experience designing customer-facing experiences with Product and Design.
• Proven track record with distributed systems, API design, observability, and debugging.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into production apps with guardrails, testing, and rollout.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into shipped solutions with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end full-stack features across React/TypeScript frontends and Go backend services for Help Center, chat, and agent workflows.
• Partner with Product, Design, CX Ops, and engineering teams to create self-serve and assisted-support experiences.
• Own APIs, service integrations, and UI flows connecting Surfaces with Foundations and Intelligence capabilities.
• Drive CX outcomes through experimentation, instrumentation, and metrics like containment, CSAT, and escalation rates.
• Lead integration of AI/ML and vendor capabilities with guardrails and observability.
• Strengthen production reliability through on-call participation, debugging, and mentoring engineers.
