Job summary

OffWorld in Pasadena, CA seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Contract) to design and implement the real-time software platform for swarm robotics. You will work with the software architect on front and back-end features for monitoring autonomous operations, data processing, fault handling, health management, and interfaces for displays and joysticks to enable low-latency remote monitoring.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience building full stack solutions for robotics, IoT, industrial or automotive domains.
• Design-focused software architecture with reusable components.
• Experience delivering across multiple platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile) including VR/AR integration is a plus.
• Strong UX/UI collaboration with end-users to translate requirements into intuitive designs.
• Experience with Python/C++ and Redis/InfluxDB is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement real-time software platform architecture with frontend and backend components.
• Build interfaces for swarm/multi-unit robot autonomous operations monitoring and exception handling.
• Develop data processing stack for telemetry and sensor data including point clouds.
• Collaborate with Mechatronics, ML and Controls teams to ensure seamless firmware interfaces.
