Job summary

Swarm Aero is seeking Software Engineers, Robotics to build the autonomy stack for the world's largest drone swarm. You'll work across vehicle software, sensor integration, planning behaviors, and simulation to turn architecture into flying capability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/SE, 3+ years of soft-realtime robotics software, and strong C/C++ (plus Rust or Go). You will travel up to 25% for onsite tests and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
• 3+ years building soft-realtime embedded systems or robotics software.
• Deep expertise in at least one systems language (C/C++, Rust, or Go).
• Hands-on robotics algorithms development (path planning, state estimation, etc.).
• Working knowledge of embedded protocols and instrumentation.
• Strong networking fundamentals and testable code practices.

Responsibilities

• Build components across the autonomy stack: planning behaviors, vehicle software, sensor and payload integration, and simulation.
• Create and validate the core on-vehicle software platform for various sensors and modules.
• Develop and validate simulations of unmanned systems (UxS).
• Conduct electronics prototyping and troubleshooting of mixed hardware–software systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Travel up to 25% of the time for onsite test and integration events.
