Job summary

Unknown robotics company in the defense sector seeks a Software Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, test, and maintain a scalable ROS2-based robotics software stack for unmanned ground vehicle swarms.

You will develop network architectures, configuration management using Docker/Ansible, and real-time fault detection to ensure reliable operation by multiple end-users in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting ROS2 nodes for inter-subsystem communication.
• Strong network design for scaling robotic swarms and multi-interface data streams.
• Experience with Docker and Ansible for consistent robot configurations.
• Knowledge of real-time fault detection and system reliability strategies.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and proactive issue handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain robotics software infrastructure for UGV swarms.
• Develop the plumbing to enable reliable operation across multiple end-users.
• Build and deploy a modern robotics stack from the ground up.
• Collaborate on network architectures and deployment automation.
