Job summary

Orbis is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to own product surfaces within the Orbis AI portfolio, including the Agent Catalog, the OSINT Agent Harness, and Pulse Analytics. You will deliver data models, streaming capabilities, and explainable results for mission users, balancing fast iteration with robust interfaces that teams can rely on.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering with ownership of production surfaces
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Strong TS/JS across server and browser runtimes or strong Python backend with frontend skills
• Production experience with a modern frontend framework (React preferred) focusing on architecture, state, and performance
• Experience with API design including versioning, contracts, auth, and error handling
• Hands-on experience with real-time client–server patterns (WebSockets, SSE, streaming HTTP)
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Design and ship features end-to-end: data model, service logic, API, and user interface
• Build real-time surfaces: streaming agent output, live task status, progressive rendering
• Make results explainable by surfacing source, provenance, and reasoning path
• Create interfaces over dynamic ontologies and evolving knowledge structures
• Maintain service contracts with versioning, backward compatibility, and failure semantics
• Set quality standards: test coverage, accessibility, and performance budgets
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews and planning for subsystems
• Travel up to 15% for customer engagement and team collaboration
