Job summary

Orbis Operations LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to own product surfaces end-to-end across the AI portfolio, including the Agent Catalog, OSINT Agent Harness, and Pulse Analytics. You will design data models, streaming outputs, and interfaces used by analysts, ensuring explainability and robust performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with ownership of production surfaces.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript across server and browser runtimes or strong Python backend with front-end skills.
• Production experience with modern front-end framework (React preferred) including components and performance.
• Experience with API design including versioning, error contracts, authentication, and authorization.
• Hands-on experience with real-time client-server patterns (WebSockets, SSE, streaming HTTP).
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship features end to end across data model, service logic, API surface, and the UI.
• Build real-time surfaces: streaming agent output, live task status, progressive rendering of long analyses.
• Make results explainable by surfacing source, provenance, and reasoning path.
• Build interfaces over dynamic ontologies and knowledge structures that evolve.
• Guarantee service contracts with versioning, backward compatibility, and clear failure semantics.
• Set quality standards including tests, accessibility, and performance budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews and planning for subsystems.
• Travel up to 15% for customer engagement, integration support, and team collaboration.
