Job summary

Orbis is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to own product surfaces across the AI portfolio: the Agent Catalog, OSINT Agent Harness, and Pulse Analytics. You will design from data model to UI, focusing on real user workflows, explainability, and scalable interfaces that support evolving knowledge structures.

You will work with streaming outputs, live task status, and progressive rendering, ensure robust API contracts, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with ownership of production surfaces.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript across server and browser runtimes or strong Python backend with frontend skills.
• Experience with modern frontend framework (React preferred), including component architecture and state management.
• Knowledge of API design including versioning, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with real-time client-server patterns (WebSockets, SSE, streaming).
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship features end to end — data model, service logic, API surface, and the user-facing interface.
• Build and own real-time surfaces: streaming agent output, live task status, and progressive rendering of long-running analysis.
• Make results explainable by surfacing source, provenance, and reasoning path.
• Build interfaces over dynamic ontologies and evolving knowledge structures.
• Guarantee service contracts: versioning, backward compatibility, failure semantics.
• Set quality standards: test coverage, accessibility, and performance budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
• Travel up to 15% for customer engagement and team collaboration.
