Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and AWS. The role demands strong cloud experience, RESTful APIs, and collaboration with architects and product teams in a hybrid work model.

You will optimize performance, ensure security, and leverage AI-powered tools to boost productivity. 8+ years of full-stack experience and excellent communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• 8+ years of experience as Full stack developer.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Understanding of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Agentic AI tools, or similar technologies.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills within Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, JavaScript, SQL, and AWS technologies.
• Build reusable front-end components and scalable back-end services to support ongoing application development initiatives.
• Translate business requirements, wireframes, and technical designs into high-quality, maintainable code.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and messaging solutions to enable seamless system communication.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across multiple browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement innovative technology solutions.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
