Laansu Incorporated in Sterling, VA seeks a Senior Software Developer to build and support software for the Department of Transportation and public safety. You will work in a hybrid/remote-ready environment, contributing across the full stack with Java back-end and Angular front-end technologies.

The role requires 5–10 years in software development, strong Java experience, cloud (AWS) familiarity, and microservices with CI/CD, plus the ability to mentor teammates and deliver robust solutions for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5-10 years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of Java OO programming.
• 5+ years of building web apps or APIs.
• 5+ years designing relational databases.
• 3+ years creating rich web interfaces with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/Angular/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with ORM tools like Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Git.
• Hands-on experience with full-stack apps (Angular + Java).
• Experience with microservices and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins or similar).
• Experience cloud deployments (AWS ECS/RDS/KMS).
• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.

Responsibilities

• Receive tasks from program manager and estimate timelines.
• Follow agile sprint cycles and assist with testing.
• Peer-review colleagues' work and provide feedback.
• Attend meetings, document design decisions and technical details.
