Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Patching team, focusing on backend Java/Kotlin with React front-end pieces. You will help discover, package, and deploy OS and third-party patches across endpoints.

This role offers flexible remote work within the USA with hybrid options at offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL. You’ll collaborate across AI workflow, server, and platform teams to build scalable, API-first patching capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java development for product applications with solid Kotlin expertise.
• 2+ years of React front-end development.
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable software systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles and scalable data structures.
• Experience with REST APIs using frameworks like Jersey or Spring.
• Relational database design and development experience.
• Experience with client- and server-side development for responsive messaging.
• Caching systems expertise.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain patch and software definitions across OS platforms and third-party apps.
• Java and Kotlin backend development to expose patch management functions for extensibility.
• Build and maintain React-based UI components for patching workflows and dashboards.
• Collaborate with the AI workflow, server, and platform teams to enable scalable patch delivery.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews for API-first software that patches endpoints at scale.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the stack using logs and metrics.
• Participate in code reviews and document processes; lead cross-team initiatives.
• Other duties as needed.
