Job summary

NinjaOne seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Patching team, focusing on backend Java/Kotlin with React front-end work. You will help extend patching capabilities across endpoints, collaborate with AI workflow and platform teams, and design scalable API‑first solutions for reliable patch delivery.

The role emphasizes high‑quality, scalable software, code reviews, and cross‑team leadership in a hybrid remote environment across the USA, with offices in Austin and Tampa.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in Java software development with Kotlin.
• 2+ years in React frontend development; capable UI components.
• 4+ years building highly scalable software systems.
• Experience with AI tooling to accelerate development.
• Knowledge of REST services and API best practices.

Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain patching definitions across OSs and third‑party apps.
• Backend Java/Kotlin development to expose patch management functions.
• Build and maintain React UI components for patching workflows.
• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams for scalable patch delivery.
• Participate in architecture reviews and ensure API‑first design.
• Troubleshoot production issues across stack using logs and metrics.
• Lead cross‑team initiatives and document processes.
