Genius in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to build, maintain, and enhance features across our platform. This hands-on role spans front-end and back-end work, collaborating with product and design to deliver scalable solutions and high-quality products.

Based in Los Angeles, you will work onsite 3–4 days per week at our Beverly Hills office (131 S. Rodeo Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90212).

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web apps.
• Backend Ruby (preferred) or Python/Node.js/Django.
• Frontend with React or Rails and modern JS.
• Experience scaling full-stack in high-traffic environments.
• API design, DB architecture, data modeling, performance tuning.
• Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, testing strategies.
• Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic or Datadog.
• Excellent communication; proactive ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product/design/engineers to build features with impact for millions of users.
• Write clean, scalable, testable production-ready code.
• Mentor and contribute to technical design and code reviews.
• Own deployments to staging/production and participate in on-call rotation.
• Drive long-term architectural improvements and docs standards.
• Champion engineering excellence and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps for monitoring and uptime.
• Onboard and mentor junior engineers.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve team efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
