Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design and develop scalable web services for its global security platform. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days on-site at the Bethesda, MD headquarters and involves owning architecture, delivering API services, and mentoring the team.

You will work with Java/SpringBoot, React/TypeScript, and AWS/Kubernetes in a fast-paced Scale Team, driving ADRs and cross-functional collaboration to ship high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions.
• 5+ years with AWS Lambda and TypeScript serverless development.
• 5+ years with Java and Spring Boot in production.
• Strong frontend experience with React/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge and ORM usage.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~70% of time coding, architecting and developing API services and serverless components.
• Deliver responsive UX with React/TypeScript.
• Drive ADRs, design sessions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Own cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA in an Agile setup.
• Troubleshoot high-impact production issues; optimize databases and security.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
• Partner with other teams on architectural improvements.
