Job summary

Dev Technology Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design and build scalable software on AWS, spanning React front-end to cloud infrastructure. You’ll work with AI-assisted development tools and contribute across the stack to deliver secure, cost-efficient solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on software development, cloud design, and collaboration with federal projects. Hybrid work in Herndon, VA is available, with quarterly on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Backend development experience with Node.js or Python.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments such as ECS/EKS.
• Experience with AWS CLI and SAM CLI.
• Understanding of software security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience using AI-powered/agentic development tools in day-to-day software development.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Python.
• Design and implement AWS cloud and serverless architectures using EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, and more.
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing using GitLab.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools for code generation and automated testing.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Contribute to technical, product, and release planning and resolve integration challenges.
• Identify risks and dependencies and document project plans.
• Write high-quality, scalable code with strong test coverage.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, availability, security, and cost.
