Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking an experienced software engineer to own features end to end—from problem framing with product and design through production rollout and operational life. You will design for enterprise constraints like permissions, audit trails, data residency, and regional isolation, and push for scalable, high-performance solutions across backend (Go) and frontend (TypeScript/React).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with features driven from design to production.
• Genuine full stack ability with Go on backend and TypeScript/React on frontend.
• Experience building for enterprise customers with multi-tenancy, SSO or audit requirements.
• Demonstrated work on scale and performance: identify bottlenecks and redesign.
• API design judgment and ability to design interfaces others rely on.
• Comfort talking to customers and collaborating across time zones.
• Clear written communication for design documents and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end: framing, design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing operation.
• Design for enterprise constraints: permissions, audit, data residency, regional isolation.
• Identify and fix scalability and performance limits before customers encounter them.
• Quantify design gaps at the high end and lead the changes to fix them.
• Extend our public API, Terraform provider, and configuration surfaces for platform teams.
• Work directly with customers on escalations and discovery to generalize solutions.
• Improve operability: observability, runbooks, and on-call participation.
• Drive alignment across multiple teams and time zones.
