Job summary

Sciemo is seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer to build the product surface users interact with, from front-end interfaces to backend services. You will ship features end to end, align with ML/GenAI systems, and help set engineering standards for a fast-moving startup.

You will work across product, design, and engineering to deliver scalable, reliable software in a hybrid New York City–based role, with US-wide travel as needed. Excellent communication and startup adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production web applications end to end at senior level or above.
• Strong frontend fundamentals and experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong backend engineering skills with API design and relational data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship customer-facing features end to end across the stack with Next.js on the frontend and Python/FastAPI on the backend.
• Build interfaces that present AI outputs in a usable way for business users and collaborate with product/design.
• Maintain APIs, data access patterns, and services connecting to ML/GenAI systems; ensure reliability.
• Own production quality: testing, monitoring, CI/CD improvements, and on-call participation.
