Job summary

Sciemo, an NYC-based AI startup, is seeking an AI Engineer to build and deploy generative and agent-based systems powering our products. You will own end-to-end design, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, collaborating with data scientists, product leads, and backend engineers.

This senior, founding-level role focuses on GenAI architecture, grounding in customer data, and delivering measurable business impact at scale in a hybrid New York environment.

Qualifications

• Must have launched LLM- or agent-based products into production.
• Strong Python production-grade capabilities and GenAI tooling expertise.
• Hands-on with agent frameworks, tool use, RAG, and prompt engineering at scale.
• Experience building evaluation systems to drive real improvements.
• Familiar with the broader ML stack and orchestration tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM- and agent-based products on cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).
• Design multi-agent systems, tool use, and orchestration for complex workflows.
• Create pipelines for deployment, prompt/model versioning, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, product leads, and backend engineers.
