Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build full-stack SaaS products, driving architecture decisions and delivering features from concept to production.

You will work with Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, leveraging AWS and CI/CD while applying AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and quality. Mentoring teammates will be a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally SaaS or web products.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application development.
• Experience owning features from design through production.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software practices.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex).
• Ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and own new product features from design through testing, deployment, and enhancements.
• Develop full-stack SaaS apps using Rails, React/TS, and PostgreSQL.
• Shape technical design decisions, APIs, and database structures.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and testing.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineer to evolve AI-driven practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Own production performance, quality, and scalability.
