Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is hiring a Senior Application Developer for the Data & Analytics Hub in Nashville. You will contribute to building a unified internal web platform with reusable components, APIs, and secure data operations across the enterprise.

You will lead UI/UX driven development across the stack, collaborate with data engineers, architecture, and DevOps to deliver scalable, high-performance platform experiences, and help modernize internal tools and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or MIS.
• Strong hands-on full stack web development experience.
• Deep understanding of React patterns, components, and modular code.
• Experience with Node.js and Express for API development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and GraphQL for designing APIs.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and modern JS frameworks.
• Experience with document-oriented and relational databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX, responsive design, accessibility and front-end performance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of SDLC and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support internal web framework for data operations.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces aligned with Starbucks design standards.
• Develop scalable APIs and backend services using modern frameworks.
• Translate UX designs into production-ready code.
• Ensure security, privacy, and data governance compliance.
• Create and maintain shared UI components and services for multiple apps.
• Collaborate with designers, data engineering, architecture and DevOps.
