Job summary

Playlist is hiring a Software Engineer III to help build the outbound marketing side of Playlist’s CRM and Marketing platform. You’ll ship production code, develop APIs, and own features for segmentation and audience management.

Collaborate with Product, Design, and senior engineers to shape solutions from tickets to larger components; grow into ownership while improving reliability and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong coding mindset; write clean, reliable code.
• Proficiency with C#/.NET and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• API design expertise and microservices experience.
• Observability familiarity with New Relic or Kibana.
• Deep SQL knowledge and relational modeling.
• Agile, with strong SDLC practices.
• Clear communicator who can align teams.
• Ability to reason about complexity and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production code for campaigns, journeys, and audience management.
• Develop and test APIs; ensure records stay in sync via data pipelines.
• Add features to segmentation and targeting tools; fix bugs; review PRs.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and senior engineers on tickets and components.
• Handle production issues with the team to improve reliability.
• Grow into ownership of larger system components over time.
