Job summary

Playlist is hiring a senior backend engineer to help build and evolve the backend systems powering ClassPass and related experiences. You will partner with product, design, and QA to take ideas from concept to production in a scalable, reliable way.

You will design services, implement APIs, and promote best practices like automated testing and strong monitoring, while guiding junior teammates and ensuring operational health across a growing service-oriented ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Senior backend experience building and operating large-scale SaaS services.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C#, and a mixed stack environment.
• Experience designing microservices and backend APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and proactive risk management.
• Strong SQL and relational database performance tuning.
• Clear communication across product, design, and QA teams.
