Job summary

Ellipsis Health, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale our conversational AI platform. You will work across backend services and frontend applications, delivering secure and reliable healthcare solutions.

You will own production services, design scalable APIs, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring HIPAA and FHIR compliance across the stack. Remote candidates in the US are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years building full-stack applications with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with React and Redux in production.
• Strong REST/GraphQL API design and microservices understanding.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale core systems powering conversational AI.
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices in TypeScript.
• Build frontend UIs with React/Redux focused on usability.
• Own production services including deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold code quality and architecture.
