Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer to own the modeling tool ecosystem, develop plugins for MagicDraw/Cameo, and create data dashboards. You will work on the Java/Spring Boot backend and React/Angular front end, with DevOps using Github Actions, Jenkins, OpenShift, and GCP.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, implement automated tests, and explore AI/ML techniques to improve modeling intelligence. The role requires 10+ years in similar roles and a BS in CS.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and data pipelines.
• Python experience for automation and data tasks.
• Strong front-end skills with JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Experience deploying on GCP and OpenShift; Docker/Kubernetes familiarity.
• Knowledge of CI/CD with Tekton and Jenkins; Terraform for infra as code.
• Familiar with AI/ML libraries and data analytics tools.
• Git proficiency and code review practices.
• Understanding of automotive or MBSE concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable back-end services and APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Build front-end interfaces with React or Angular; leverage Node.js tooling.
• Develop automation scripts in Python and use VS Code for development.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Jenkins; manage OpenShift deployments on GCP.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ship features end-to-end.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimizations.
• Contribute to cloud deployments, infra as code with Terraform, and Terraform-driven workflows.
• Ensure quality with unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
