Job summary
Allstate Insurance seeks a senior backend engineer to design, build, and deliver the next generation of operational claims systems for Dealer Services. You will own production applications, drive best practices, and shape the platform’s technical direction to modernize claims operations and reduce operational complexity.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of Java/J2EE software development experience.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps, and modern testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Contribute to the architecture, development, and operation of scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Apply engineering best practices including clean code, TDD, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes that support reliable software delivery.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications in production environments.
- Adhere to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
