Job summary

impact.com is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Seattle to build real-time data processes at scale and contribute to distributed systems. You will work on features that power partnerships for top brands, collaborating with a global team and leveraging agentic coding tools.

You will interact with product teams, review agent-generated code for correctness and security, and participate in an on-call rotation to own production. Strong open-source experience and CS degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in programming using open source technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Copilot.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to express intent precisely in writing, which is the foundation of working well with agents.
• A problem-solver, eager to address challenges and deliver solutions.
• Thrives independently and when collaborating within a team.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Nice To Have: Experience writing agent instructions, custom skills, or MCP integrations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new product features using agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot) as a core part of your daily workflow.
• Write clear specs and prompts, break work into agent-sized tasks, and guide agents to high-quality results.
• Critically review, test, and debug agent-generated code, so that everything you ship meets our standards for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Design, code, and automate tests for new product features, by hand when it's the right tool.
• Resolve real-world challenges for brands on our Partnership Platform.
• Address complex technical engineering issues related to scale and performance.
• Engage directly with the Product team and other engineers to gather and understand requirements.
• Help the team improve how we work with agents by sharing prompts, workflows, and lessons learned.
• Be part of an agile team process and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with remote team members using tools like Slack and Zoom.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as part of the team's commitment to own production.
