Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the News & Insights team in Austin, TX. This backend-heavy role handles server-side systems while contributing to frontend features, spanning APIs, data integrations, and React/Next.js surfaces.

You will work on AI-powered Hyperlocal content, cloud delivery, CI/CD, and production reliability. You should have 5+ years in software engineering with strong backend and frontend experience, Node.js/TypeScript, REST GraphQL APIs, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience owning full-stack features from design through production.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience; Node.js preferred.
• Experience with React/Next.js frontend.
• Experience designing and operating RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud deployment, CI/CD, AWS familiarity.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand consumer-facing features across frontend and backend.
• Own full-stack work from design through testing, release, and production support.
• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs for the News & Insights platform.
• Improve caching, delivery strategies, and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, editorial, and other engineers; contribute to roadmap planning.
