Realtor.com is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for the News & Insights team. You’ll help build the platform behind Realtor.com’s high-traffic news experience, serving readers and partners.

This backend-heavy role focuses on server-side systems while contributing to frontend features across APIs, data integrations, and React/Next.js surfaces. The role involves AI-powered Hyperlocal content experiences, cloud delivery, CI/CD, and operational reliability, with collaboration across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend and frontend work.
• Experience owning full-stack features from design through production.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience; Node.js preferred.
• Experience with React, Next.js or similar modern framework.
• Experience designing and operating RESTful and GraphQL APIs; service interfaces.
• Experience with automated testing and reliability-focused decisions; cloud deployment and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand consumer-facing features across frontend and backend.
• Contribute to React and Next.js features across both sides of a product feature.
• Own full-stack work from design through testing, release, and production support.
• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs for News & Insights platform.
• Develop Node.js/TypeScript services, GraphQL schemas, RESTful APIs.
• Own server-side data flows and decisions on performance and maintainability.
• Improve caching and delivery strategies; contribute to logging, monitoring, and reliability.
• Support automated testing, CI/CD, and safe, repeatable releases with teams.
• Collaborate with Product/editorial stakeholders and engineers on priorities.
