Realtor.com is hiring Senior Backend Software Engineers to join our technology team in Austin. You will help design and build scalable backend systems that power agent and consumer experiences, collaborating with product, design, and data teams.

The role emphasizes architecture, mentorship, and hands-on development across Python, React, Node.js, and GraphQL, with AWS and data pipelines experience. You’ll work in an office-focused environment with opportunities to shape product direction.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years contributing to system architecture and design.
• Experience with Python, React, Node.js, GraphQL.
• Experience with cloud systems (AWS).
• Knowledge of data platforms/pipelines (Snowflake & Airflow).
• Experience with relational/non-relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent.
• Interest in AI/ML and applying emerging technologies.
• Experience delivering high value to customers quickly and frequently.
• Experience evaluating trade-offs between design approaches.
• Software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, documentation).
• Experience building scalable systems.
