Teaching Strategies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to advance SmartCenter modules, spanning Python backend and frontend surfaces. You will own features from discovery through delivery, design scalable APIs, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and support to ship reliable software for child care centers, teachers, and families.

You should bring strong Python backend experience, solid frontend skills, and a proven track record in enterprise web apps.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior contributions.
• Strong Python backend development with API design and data validation.
• Experience building web applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience delivering modular enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and responsible AI practices.
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations.
• GCP/App Engine/Flask experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain full stack capabilities across SmartCenter modules.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic in Python.
• Enhance web experiences with the frontend stack and accessible UI.
• Balance technical debt with long-term health and product goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and support teams.
• Translate regulatory requirements into engineering controls and plans.
• Leverage AI-assisted development throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Define team practices for responsible AI and reusable prompts.
