Job summary

Oddball is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join Oddball Labs and contribute across frontend and backend systems, exploring ideas from concept to production.

You will partner with architects, designers, and engineers, working on a range of technologies and applying AI/ML and GenAI where it adds value, while helping shape technical direction at a small but impactful federal-focused software company.

Qualifications

• Strong general software engineering across stacks.
• Comfort in ambiguous problem spaces with evolving requirements.
• Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern development workflows.
• Experience developing or integrating generative AI applications.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them thoughtfully.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
• Pragmatic mindset for prototyping vs. scale.
• Security, privacy, and accessibility principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on software solutions ranging from prototypes to production systems.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to explore new ideas and approaches.
• Work across a variety of technologies, languages, and frameworks depending on the problem space.
• Help evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI/ML and GenAI, where they create value.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and establish engineering practices.
• Support architectural decisions and provide guidance to less senior engineers.
• Contribute to technical discovery, experimentation, and rapid learning across the team.
