Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a versatile engineer for Education Labs to act as a one-person technical shop. You will prototype new ideas, define technical direction, and ship production‑quality features to millions of users, balancing strong product instincts with robust engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering with design sensibility.
• 6+ years building and shipping web products across the stack.
• Front-end craft: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, CSS with emphasis on interaction and motion.
• Solid back-end and data pipeline experience: Python, API design, analytics infrastructure.
• A portfolio showing innovative interaction designs and high-quality implementations.
• Track record of driving features from prototype to production.

Responsibilities

• Ship features that help users develop skills with AI and measure capability growth.
• Architect end-to-end prototypes (front-end and back-end) for new interaction paradigms.
• Define the technical direction for the team and establish reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Research to shape Anthropic's product strategy.
• Shape team strategy and roadmap by identifying high-leverage opportunities.
• Translate research insights into shipped product through close collaboration with researchers.
