Job summary

RELX INC is seeking a senior software engineer to anchor a cross-functional team responsible for a next-generation healthcare data platform. The role balances hands-on development with setting design direction across Java, React, and Python components, while guiding delivery and quality across product, QA, and partner squads.

You will work in an AI-accelerated SDLC, reviewing code, driving estimates, and mentoring peers to raise quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership of technical direction.
• Proven full-stack delivery in Java and a modern JS framework plus Python for data pipelines.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as the squad's technical anchor, owning design direction and safeguarding quality, security, and performance.
• Design/Build and maintain Java Spring Boot apps, React UI apps and Python-based data pipelines.
• Lead code reviews and uphold coding best practices; complete complex feature development and fixes.
• Drive backlog refinement, technical estimation, and sprint/release readiness in an Agile environment.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for cross-team dependencies and risk resolution.
• Champion AI-accelerated SDLC practices and mentor peers on effective use of AI tooling.
