Job summary

Virtuous is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join the Raise team, the fundraising platform for nonprofits. You will own features end-to-end, from donor-facing UI to backend services, with a strong emphasis on design, performance, and AI-assisted development.

The role blends frontend and backend work in a 50/50 split, using C# on the backend and Vue on the frontend, within a mission-driven tech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building modern web applications in production.
• Strong C# skills and API integration (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue/React/Svelte.
• Hands-on with AI coding agents as part of development workflow.
• Experience with Azure and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Solid SQL skills and DB performance tuning.
• DevOps fundamentals and CI/CD experience.
• Observability with DataDog and incident prevention.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end across Raise frontend and backend.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on donor-facing UX.
• Review AI-generated code with architectural judgment.
• Design, build, and ship new revenue-driving features.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
